Ahmadoba village of Khachmaz rayon is one of the communities standing face to face with a lot of infrastructure problems, despite that it is located at 9 kms away from the rayon center. Ahmadoba community has a mixed ethnic composition of the population, comprised of mainly by Azerbaijanis, gyryz and tats. The meaning of the name of this village, whose history dates back to the late 18th Century, is is associated with the man called Ahmad, who first got settled here. Gylman Ilkin, the famous writer, was one of the first teachers of the primary school that started operating in Ahmadoba village back in 1917. The current devastated condition of this school put the population of this community face to face with number of problems in education. During the PRA seminar in Ahmadoba community it was revealed that the first priority of the community is “poor condition of intra-village roads”. While ranking the problems with a great enthusiasm, the Ahmadova community residents expressed their big satisfaction with their applause. Activism of Ahmadabad community during the PRA seminar was a clear example of their willingness to cooperate with with AzRIP-2.
